Gary Aleher. A classically trained expressionistic artist, Aleher translates his genius into every aspect of his world. His unbridled talent is demonstrated through his abilities to paint, act and design, creating a world of beauty through his fingertips. His experience as an actor in both stage and film, set designer and visual artist is evident in the many shows, plays and exhibits he has participated in. The variety of magazine layouts, photo shoots and runway shows are a culmination of 19 years as a stylist and makeup artist. Born in Iran in 1974, Aleher came to America at the age of 25 with a small amount of change in his pocket and a lofty ambition. Trained and studied in Armenia, Austria and Germany, he traveled to the states to make his name known. His businesses kept him busy, painting promoted his expression, and design fueled his energy, but he continued to feel a void and began to search his heart for more. He realized that the quality of our lives is affected by those we serve. Where was his voice? It takes courage and compassion to see what is right before us- how do you look past the face sitting at the bus stop? He had the wisdom to acknowledge the problem and the boldness to step forward and do something about it. Aleher promotes awareness through fund-raising events and art exhibits, donating his art proceeds to charitable causes such as the South Sudan Children's Orphanage.
